New York is the city of contrasts♡
The city attracts many people from all over the world and many dream to visit it at least one time.
There many places and sites to visit in any time of the year. But what about the December? Which great things can we do in this period?
It's December, and New York State is chock-full of winter activities for every kind of traveler

Tour Platter's Chocolates
Think Willy Wonka - but less creepy. This family-owned chocolate factory, which has been around since 1938, has relocated to a new 24,000 square-foot facility in Niagara County, which means amped-up chocolate production and culinary tours to visitors. Not only is this the one-stop shop for gifts (who doesn't want a chocolate basket?), but tours begin just in time for the holiday season! North Tonawanda; all month; prices vary per item
Cutchogue Holiday House Tour
This is a foodie's holiday delight. You'll make six stops on this holiday tour throughout Cutchogue county, visiting four bed and breakfasts, the historic New Suffolk School House, and Cutchogue New Suffolk historical society - all decked out for the holidays. Enjoy wine pairings, music, tree lightings and more. Cutchogue; Dec 3; $75
The Colonian Nutcracker
Westchester's Dance Theatre will perform a rendition of Tchaikovsky's ballet classic set in wintry colonial Yorktown. The wistful red-coated mouse army and enchanted nutcracker prince will give you a nice, warm dose of nostalgia. It's the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. Brooklyn; Dec 11; $15
Christmas by Sea
This is a nautical-themed Christmas affair. Delight in traditional holiday decor, themed trees, live music and refreshments on a December afternoon in the Thousand Islands Seaway region. Santa will make his official arrival by Coast Guard. Oswego: Dec 11; free
